Biography
Stephanie Michelle Platt is a recent graduate of Temple University, Beasley School of Law where she earned her Master of Laws (L.L.M.) degree in Trial Advocacy. Prior to that, she earned her Juris Doctor at Touro Law Center and her Bachelor of Arts at Connecticut College, where she double majored in History and American Studies.
During her law school tenure, Ms. Platt participated on two (2) competitive trial teams, where she was first introduced to the practical skills required to succeed in the courtroom. She also spent a summer abroad in Berlin, Germany, where her studies focused on Mediation, International Human Rights and Comparative Constitutional Law. Prior to joining Eric M. Bernstein & Associates, L.L.C., Ms. Platt served as General Counsel and Director of Corporate Compliance for Obanta, L.L.C., the professional management company for an outpatient mental health facility in New Jersey, with several branch offices throughout the State. It was here that she handled and advised members of the company and executive staff on all internal legal matters, including contract disputes, corporate issues, labor and employment law, licensing, administrative law, and regulatory law. Ms. Platt also spent a year as an associate attorney at a small, general practice law firm in Long Island, handling a myriad of business and litigation related matters.
Outside of the office, Ms. Platt is devoted to her close friends and family and enjoys spending time with them, including her three (3) Labrador retrievers, whom she adores and loves caring for.
